Sensory for All Storytime Playgroup at Estacada Library ~ Registration Required
Overview: The Sensory for All Storytime Playgroup is a special weekly Parent-Child Interaction class designed for parents, caregivers, and children aged 2-5. Held at the Estacada Library, this playgroup provides a calm and welcoming environment for families who may find typical playgroups overwhelming due to noise or activity levels. With limited class sizes and a focus on sensory-friendly activities, this program promotes meaningful engagement for both children and their caregivers.
The playgroup features a carefully planned schedule that includes an interactive storytime, sensory-focused art and activity centers, and gross motor play. Each element is tailored to the needs and interests of participants, fostering growth, exploration, and joy in a safe setting.
Parents will also have the opportunity to connect with other caregivers and learn about vital social-emotional concepts such as co-regulation and resilience through Todos Juntos’ "Cards for Connection" resources. These tools are designed to help families thrive and prepare their children socially for future school environments.
